gahh! i'm so stressed up.
firstly, yesterday, my mum's been warded into CGH again.
lucky i was home, my father called the ambulance when my mum felt very very weak & nearly fainted. she has diabetes and some other sickness.

so, stayed in the hosp till 8pm. the doctor said mum has to go for a scan if she have stroke. omg. i really hope it's not stroke sia.

finally, school holidays! from tmr, 14 june till 7 july. yesterday and today, my course students had sponsorship talks from many different marine companies & groups. i need suggestions and advices about which marine sponsorship offer should i take! i'll elaborate on the sponsorships, the allowance, years of bond etc etc. okay, let's start.

1) Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN)
- All Tuition fees & School fees will be paid by the Navy
- Monthly Allowance During The 2 Years In ITE : $750 (OMG WOW WTF!)
- Years of Bond : 5 Years (including 2 years of NS in the Navy -- omg, can skip NS siols!)

Disadvantage: People say, the RSN 'pilih kulit'. it's choosing skin. kinda of racist? maybe. There are RARELY malays in the RSN. about 1/50 or 1/100. i don't know why, maybe because of terrorism? they don't want malays in the navy because we're related to terrorists or whatever shits. but that are just rumours or crap talks. maybe that's not true. when we asked the question whether malays can join, they said can. but we don't see any malays in the navy lol. the officer said got malays, but a few. well..

Advantages: Monthly allowance when we're schooling is great! $750. and during NS, our starting pay is $1.9k instead of Army which is $400 only. Plus, we can continue our studies to Poly, before joining them.

2) Association of Singapore Marine Industry (ASMI)
- All tuition fees & School fees will be paid by them.
- Yearly Allowance During The 2 Years In ITE : $3000
- Years of Bond : 2 Years

Disadvantage : yearly allowance? $3k only? so little. I need to join them straight after ITE graduation & NS. Cannot go poly. Must serve them for the 2 years first.

Advantages : Very big companies. especially KEPPEL Shipyard! My dream job is to work there. wtf. I can also learn many new skills with them. Big bonuses! KEPPEL gave 8.75 mths of salary bonus to all of their workers last year. eg : your 1 mth salary is $2k, your bonus is about $18k! wow wow wee!

3) Small & Medium Enterprises (SME)
- All tuition fees & School fees will be paid by them.
- Monthly Allowance During The 2 Years In ITE : $450
- Years of Bond - 3 Years

Disadvantages : The companies are like unknown to the world or even Singapore. eg: Beng Kuang Marine Limited, Heatec Jietong Pte Ltd & Sin Hong Thai Engineering Pte Ltd. Also cannot go to Poly after ITE, need to serve them first for 1 year and maybe they will sponsor me to go Poly.

Advantages : Quite good amount of allowance, easier to get promoted because of small workforce. example; this company only have 50-100 workers, unlike KEPPEL, thousands. the chairman/owner will know who you are because everyday can see him, same workplace & you may get recognition if you're good/hardworking .

i'm confused. don't know which one to choose sia. i only have 3 weeks till school reopens to make a decision. i like both the RSN & the SME. but both have their own disadvantages. hmm, come on people, help me! choose which is better! =x

monthly allowance of $750 for RSN, kiwaks, can buy anything siols! lol.

later, got 2 interesting matches. Italy vs Romania at 12am, Holland vs France at 2.45am. i'm gonna watch both! :)

okay, i'm tired already. will blog next time.

maybe you're the one for me.
